History
Originally established in 1954 as Land-O-Tackle Inc. A manufacturer of quality fishing lures and accessories. It is from this long history of fishing component design and the production of custom molded lure bodies. That Plastech Inc. was formed in 1991
Building
Twenty Five year old 12,000 sq. ft. building designed and built for injection molding.
Molding Machines
12 Molding Machines: 22 to 350 ton’s of clamping force, up to 31 oz. shot capacity. We have vertical and shuttle capability for insert molding.
Quality Control
ISO CERTIFIED IN 2001: The ISO 9002:94 International Standard by SGS International Certification Services Inc. SGS International is a worldwide leader in performing certifications to the International Standard. We have a full compliment of quality control measuring instruments. Included is a 21-inch Scherr Tumicko Comparator, Equipped with Mitutoyo measuring instruments and SPC outputs used for XYZ charting. Certification and lot control on all Raw Materials. We welcome you to visit our facility and our Quality Control Department and review our procedures.
Tooling
We own a small off site tool facility, located 1/2 mile from our main plant. The shop can build complete molds. The equipment from this mold making shop will be combined with the equipment we recently aquired. This will enhance our overall ability to service you needs with our own captive fully equipped design and mold making department.
Secondary Abilities
Coloring, Hot Stamping, Pad Printing, Sonic Welding, Tapping, Drilling and Assembly. If the part requires a metal ferrous or Non ferrous insert, we are equipped with a 40 ton punch press to produce that insert.
Materials
We process a large range of engineering resins, some of which include filled and unfilled Nylons, and Polycarbonates, Acetal and Polyesters.
Just In Time Delivery
We can offer stocking programs which can alleviate the pre-production set-up cost and expediting problems.
